Abstract Submission

We are now accepting Abstracts for Poster presentation during YAS 2023. Abstracts should be a single paragraph of text with no more than 250 words. Abstracts will be made available to all participants in the conference booklet. The content of the abstract will be presented through a Poster during the dedicated sessions, so that all Young Algaeneers will be able to know your work. Posters will also be accessible in an informal environment during the coffee breaks. 

To help overseas students’ participation, we are offering 3 scholarships to the best abstract selected by EABA, based on the “novelty” of their work on microalgae and seaweeds. 

The deadline for abstract submission is the 15th of February to apply for our Overseas participants scholarships and the 31 st March for the other candidates no overseas or not intended to apply for the scholarship. 

A proof of enrollment to overseas University for the current year, will be required to apply to the scholarships.

You can download the Template for the abstract, that you can save as FirstName_LastName.docx and submit it to [email protected] and [email protected] within the deadlines. 

You can also download the Poster presentation guidelines. You need to print your poster in A0 portrait orientation with a width of 84.1cm (33.1 inches) and a length of 118.9cm (46.8 inches) before the event and bring it with you to the venue. When you arrive, you can locate the designated area for poster placement and find your poster number to ensure it is displayed in the correct spot.

As for the last edition, a vote will be organized to award the best poster of YAS 2023. The winner will receive a special gift from our Sponsors!!!!
